What the Book is About:
The Angel, Saraquel wishes to understand the human emotions she sees streaming from Earth. She embarks on an adventure as a fully formed human female and resides in the home of a retired rabbi. This angel only speaks Aramaic and the rabbi is conversant in ancient Semitic languages. No one knows she is an angel and she must keep her secret. This situation changes when the rabbi dies and a Dark Angel appears in the guise of a Jewish historian who wants to buy an ancient book belonging to the rabbi. He must have the book and will kill to get it. The historian and Saraquel recognize one another and the confrontation begins. A complication arises in Saraquel life when an young man falls in love with her. The battle between the forces of Light and the forces of Darkness parallel the world of today.

Prologue:
She lay sprawled face down on the wet concrete. Small spasmodic jerks rippled through her body as consciousness returned. Her head trembled as she lifted it then put it down, her cheek resting on the damp concrete. Her body shook as she pushed with her hands and lifted her head higher and looked around. Disoriented, she rolled over and pulled her body into a sitting position. She lifted her hands and looked at them then reached down and touched the pavement where she lay. Confused, she looked around at the strange environment. What has happened? I feel different. She looked down at her body. I am naked and I am cold. She ran her hand over her chest. She felt her breasts. What a strange sensation. She shivered. I know I am cold, but how do I know this? With difficulty, she rose to her feet. My mind is whirling. Think, who am I? Dazed, she shook her head as if to clear cobwebs from her mind. Yes, now I remember, I am Saraquel.
